We have some good matches in Cincinnati through the day at the Western & Southern Open. The best part of earlier rounds in tournaments is that there are wagering opportunities from earlier in the day to the evening hours.

There are some talented players on the court on Thursday. Hopefully, this translates into profits in Cincinnati. Rafael Nadal came up well short last night, as he was chased off the court in a three-set loss to Borna Coric.

Coric is back in play on Thursday looking for another upset, this time against Roberto Bautista-Agut. On paper, Nadal is the tougher opponent, but that performance had to garner Bautista-Agut’s attention.

Ruud blasted Auger-Aliassime in a 6-1, 6-2 win. Auger-Aliassime bounced back in impressive form most recently, though. He trounced Alex de Minaur in a 6-3, 6-2 victory. With the win, he moved to 32-17 this year.

Jannik Sinner had a strong run at Wimbledon, as he made it all the way to the quarterfinal following five wins in London. He pressed Djokovic and ended up going the distance in five sets against the eventual winner.

He’s been in decent form in Cincinnati, with a 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 win over Thanasi Kokkinakis in the Round of 64, and then walked over to this round after Miomir Kecmanovic dropped out down 5-7, 1-3 in the match.

These two met in Spain in a Masters 1000 event on the clay. Auger-Aliassime dominated in a 6-1, 6-2 victory. Expect Sinner to be better prepared this time. Overall, he’s 33-11 and 16-6 on a hard court, with much better work otherwise this season. He’s been playing in improved form since that loss in early May.

I’d look at the OVER in a match that should be close. If it doesn’t go to a third set, it’s likely that this is a two-set match that goes down to tiebreakers or 7-5.
